Is it easy to get signed off sick?

I went with my first pregnancy and told them i ws stressed and wasnt being treated right and they signed me off for 3 weeks then a further 3. If u are due to go off in 4 weeks i believe ur work may try and get u to tke early maternity if u go sick? But im not 100% what the law etc is surrounding it xx
Yes I got sick note off doctor as soon as you mention pregnancy with work and stress they can't really refuse as if anything happened to you or baby and you've asked for the help it wouldn't go down well for them
If you are on sick after week 36 your maternity leave will automatically start. You do have the option to request your leave starts earlier than planned
Be careful about taking sick leave in the last 4 weeks before the due date as if this is related to your pregnancy it will trigger maternity leave. https://www.gov.uk/maternity-pay-leave/leave why don’t you just start your maternity leave now? You don’t have to explain why to your employer as it is your right to start it from as early as 11 weeks before the due date
Yes, I went in at like 20 weeks and told the doctor that I had hip pain didn't question it told him that it was affecting my sleep explained I'm a carer and he gave me 2.5 weeks off
