MAM bottle measurements

Has anyone else noticed that the measurements at the side of the MAM bottles seem to be incorrect? We use the large bottles and I have noticed that anytime I use the Tommee Tippee prep machine without powder, that it isn’t going to the line selected. Initially I assumed it was the machine but decided to use measuring scales that measure by the ML, even when just adding water with this method, it was too much compared to the measuring lines on the bottles. I had wondered how when the bottle shape changes at the top, the measuring lines stayed at the same distance. I’ve only recently noticed this and now I’m worried I’ve been giving my baby the incorrect measurements for feeds. Am I being too cautious? I know millions of parents use these bottles and haven’t really noticed anyone mentioning it. I’m so anxious about it all. I’m now using scales to measure the amount regardless of what the bottles are saying but it’s difficult when out and about, I don’t necessarily want to be taking scales with me 😫

This may explain why my boy suffered with so much sickness when he was on formula 😩

@Letitia Oh really, my baby has always been combination fed and suffered with sickness, maybe this is why. I’m so frustrated because I feel like everything that is designed for bottle feeding has inconsistencies. Why is it so difficult to feed our babies 😞

I noticed a lot of differences in measurements on a few bottles and storage bags. Makes me mad when I think I pumped or the hakaa caught 5 oz and its barely 4 lol

I just out 5oz in my measuring jug and poured it into the bottle and it hit exactly 5oz, I tried all 7 bottles and all came out as being exact. My breast milk storage bag measurements are way of though 😂

@Claire I found that the measurements are okay up to a certain amount. Whenever I do a 180ml bottle it seems to be incorrect, it’s where the bottle seems to taper in at the top.

I haven’t noticed this- we use the nuby cool and do 240ml measured in that, and when poured into the bottle it matches 240 on there

i’ve noticed this! we switched to tomee tippee bottles & all is fine now but the MAM measures are definitely off! xx

it starts at 2 but it’s actually 1oz
