The teething rice crackers are great! Just keep offering foods. I squish blueberries and that was one of the first real solid foods I did to help learn to chew. The solid starts app is a great reference for how to prepare foods by age! My daughter is 10 months with no teeth as well. Pasta is a good option too.
My friends 10 mo just popped her first tooth but she's been eating solids since 5. She's just there to watch and make sure that nothing but good happens while the baby eats. My 10 mo has 7! teeth and still doesn't eat any solids except gerber puffs. He gags and pukes too much for my liking.
My daughter is the same. I’m just waiting patiently for teeth and then with solids, I’m giving a solid lunch and am just persevering. She barely has any, but she needs to learn and get used to it x
My baby will be 10 months on Sunday, still no teeth either. We do Baby Led Weaning and she eats everything! Babies need practice with learning everything, including how to eat. He will get there, just keep trying.
My daughter didn’t get her first two teeth till like almost 11 months. She’s been eating real food since 5months. Babies use their gums to chew even without teeth
We did BLW since the beginning and we have been doing it for 2 months without teeths. It’s all about practice, babies use their gums
Just remember there are teeth under those gums! It’s normal (although still scary) for babies to gag and cough while navigating how to eat (obviously choking I.e. not breathing is a whole different story). My LO has 5 teeth and is still learning how to use them. He mostly spits out everything too. I think a lot of it is developmental and learning through practice and watching you eat
My baby has no teeth either! She’s 10 months in about a week
Does he try to copy you when he doesnt have food that needs chewed? Have you done the teething rice things ? Even without teeth they can mimick the chewing with those. What real foods have you given him and how did you give it to him ? Sorry so many questions
