Nurse gift baskets

What are everyone's opinions on giving the nurses "thank you" gift baskets? I feel like I have to but I also have a billion other things I need to prioritize before delivery!!

as a nurse, we absolutely love those 🥹🩷 but please don’t stress yourself out trying to put one together. the best gifts are often the simplest. we would appreciate something as easy as crumbl cookies delivered!

Maybe just have food delivered after your discharge? Or better yet, assign this to a family member or friend to do it for you.

I do like the idea and if I have time left will do like baby favors to nurses

I have never heard of this but I love it! What do people usually put in it?

I'm making 2 baskets, one for day shift and one for night shift. I'm putting in some bottled Starbucks/energy drinks, nice snacks, chocolates, mints, hair ties, and good pens

I love this idea! This is my first pregnancy, so this may be a dumb question. Im gonna ask it anyway. Do you only see one or two nurses the whole time? I want to make a basket, but it would be nice to have one for each nurse, so I'm curious how many to prepare.

I'm a baker so I'm going to bake up some goodie bags to take to my nurses with different sweets

I read on a forum that they take the basket to the break room with the patients room number on it so people know who its from. It will be my first time so I'm not really sure how many nurses will be attending me specfically. I know if someone really stands out to me I might even end up writing personal thank you cards to them but my thought was my nurses will get first crack at the basket and then share with others. I imagine there are people behind the scenes who will benefit that may not even have much facetime with me but do other things. I'm planning to do enough for 8-10ppl just not knowing the timeframe I will be there and who all will be attending my room. Maybe that's too much, I'm curious what others think? Again I'm just doing 2 big baskets for each shift to share.

I got my midwives personalized gifts but the 3 of them cared for me my whole pregnancy and all helped delivery my daughter and care for us post partum. Not sure what the protocol is for a hospital nurse
