Can baby wear a jumper/cardigan in their car seat?

Hey girls! I know babies can’t be in a coat or pram suit in their car seat as it’s unsafe. Does this mean baby can’t be in a car seat with a jumper or cardigan? Do they need to just be in their sleepsuit?

Thin cardigans and jumpers only, nothing thick. Stops the harness from working correctly. Can put a blanket over the car seat loosely once they’re all strapped in x

A thin cardi is more than enough! Pop a blanket over them once they're all strapped in! X

As mentioned, a thin cardigan. But nothing with a hood

You can get special car seat blankets too that go under them then wrap over the straps if you've got a kicker who keeps pushing it off! Means the straps are still nice and snug but little ones warm

@Colette these are really not recommended, you shouldn’t add anything to the car seat that it didn’t come with.

@Colette these are advised against! X

Our midwife suggested them and the one we've gone with has been crash tested. Cost a bit more but worth the extra for the testing https://kura-organics.com/pages/safety#:~:text=Yes!,(FMVSS%20213)%20safety%20standards.
