@Rebekah @Amelia thank you x
I think the rule is remember your body heat classes as a layer and so does the carrier so there is 2 layers there already x x
No pram suit or thick suit as baby can overheat and it makes the carrier bulky and difficult to get a good fit. You can wear an oversize coat over yourself and baby or they sell babywearing coat with a zip on pouch that can be taken off to turn it into a normal coat or a carrier cover that goes on top of baby. https://wearmybaby.co.uk/babywearing-in-cold-weather/
Yh definitely no pram suit. Bubs can over heat and effects the fit. A hat, thick socks/ baby wearing booties. The sling and your body count as a layer so you don't need to go too mad with extra clothes. They'll let you know if they're cold!
I have him in normal clothes plus hat and I've got my maternity coat I wore when I had a huge belly that I zip round both of us. You can get coat extenders to join a normal coat round both of you too.
I recently bought a baby wearing coat on Vinted and I LOVE it as I know he’s super cosy and he’s protected from wind too! The panel zips in and out so can be used as s normal coat too 🥰
I agree with trying to get hold of a baby wearing coat/oversize coat. Something I learnt the other day too is to be conscious of what you're wearing. I went out dressed for the cold weather and wore baby with the coat on top and I was melting!
If it’s cold we go for a baby grow, pram suit and a hat 😊 x
