Baby swallowed bath water

I was just rinsing the bubbles off my little boy (5 months) in the bath and he wiggled out of my arms. The side of his face went in the water and he must have swallowed a little bit of water. He coughed a few times, like he does when his milk goes down the wrong way and then he was fine. I held him upright and patted his back. Now I've googled secondary drowning and I'm panicking. He's his normal happy self. Smiling, playing and talking.

I’m sure I read that it takes A LOT of water for secondary drowning to happy so I’m sure he’s fine. Of course if your having worries you could ring 111 for medical advice xx

Don't worry. If it was secondary drowning you'd probably know by now and he wouldn't be his usual self. If he just drank a bit and wasn't fully submerged he should be OK. My god son fell in a pool earlier this year and was submerged for probably 15-20 seconds before his mom got to him. He didn't get secondary drowning so I'm sure your baby won't from drinking some bath water. But call 111 for advice if you're worried xx

Thank you ladies. I've looked at symptoms to keep an eye out for. He's not showing any of them at the moment.
