No Prenatal Care
Help! I’m currently 30 weeks pregnant and I haven’t seen my prenatal care doctor since September 26th. She keeps cancelling my appointments on me ‘due to illness’ .. I’m worried because obviously prenatal care is important but I’m stuck on what to do. Is there somewhere I can go to request a new doctor and get my files transferred over asap or anything? I really can’t wait any longer because it’s getting close to the end of my pregnancy.
Has anyone ever had this issue? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

Also I think worst case scenario would be to go to labor assessment and see if they can get you a new doctor as well
I can, that’s a good point. I really hope they can! I’ll have to stop in tomorrow after work. Thank you, it is extremely frustrating, especially being a first time mom. Thank you very much for the advice!!

Can you go to the clinic at the IWK and see if they can assign you someone new quickly. I think you can also call your doctors office and demand they refer you to someone else. Maybe even one of the midwives at the IWK. I'm so sorry this is happening to you. How completely neglectful and frustrating.
