We got grippy Mats and a lot of toys. We also find that he stays seated longer if we put a little bit more water in the tu.
When my son grew out of the bath chair I just put him right into the tub. It is scary and he did fall a few Times but he learned quick that he needs to stay on his bum. Now at 16 months I can tell him “ on your bum” when he stands up in the bath and he understands it means to sit down and he listens.
I just put my girl in the bath tub. We have a non slip mat and a whale cover on the faucet I haven't used the baby bath thing since she was about 8 months old.
We're still using the bath seat, my daughter is a year and can pull to stand 🤷♀️ But if she's not in it we couldn't bath or kids at the same time currently. Once my son gets out, I put her straight in the tub so she can get used to it for a few minutes at a time. Once the seat becomes a problem, we'll either have to bath them separately or there'll be a steep learning curve for a bit.
Ngl I just put my kids right in the tub 😂 this app reminds me everyday I’m a ✨risky✨ mama.
@Heather-Michelle hahaha me too. 🤣
We switched to a grippy mat and it was a learning curve for him because he's very mobile and motivated. My husband was very attached to the bath seat lol it was also a learning curve for him😂
When my son decided the baby bath was not fun anymore we had to switch to a regular bath mat. I’d recommend the xl ones with pictures to keep your little one interested in sitting because it can be scary when they are walking around in there (he’s never actually fallen for what that’s worth). Keep a dry towel in arms reach in case you need to grab him too for peace of mind.
