Infacol - how do you give your baby?

I’ve read on the bottle it says drops on the back of the tounge, but I know some people add it to the bottle? My question is with adding it to the back of the tounge, does this mean you’d have to sterilise the syringe everytime you use it as it’s gone in babies mouth? It seems impossible to do. Also adding it to the bottle what if baby doesn’t finish the whole bottle? They wouldn’t get the whole dosage?

I don’t know. You just squirt it in their mouth so it doesn’t need to touch the sides. Occasionally though she’ll move her head and it’ll touch her. I haven’t been sterilising it. I have been using small bottles of infacol so I guess if it did get germs on it, it wouldn’t be long till we were onto a new bottle of the stuff anyway. I don’t use bottles so can’t help there, but I don’t think getting the exact whole dose is super important with infacol as sometimes when giving directly in the mouth they’ll spit a bit out anyway, and it’s not really medicine, it isn’t absorbed by the baby at all.

I’ve always just squirted it in and put the syringe back in the bottle. Haven’t ever thought about sterilising it. (Sometimes even let him suck the excess off the syringe😂) Used infacol with both my children & done the same thing lol.

I squirt it in and let her suck the excess off.. she’s 8days old. I didn’t even think about sterilising it either xx

My LO hates the taste of it. Not sure he'd suck the dropper 😂 😂

@Jasmine I do the same!
