Thereâs no way Iâd buy a car seat without knowing the full history. I would only take one from a family member or a very close friend who I trusted with my childâs life. You might trust your friend, but you have no idea where itâs come from before that. If it has ever been in any kind of accident, or even if it has been incorrectly handled/cleaned with chemicals that could damage the integrity etc, anything like that could impact the safety of the seat. Itâs also not a great brand anyway, even if new. What is your budget? There are plenty of good seats that you can get brand new that wonât break the bank, but I wouldnât touch this if I were you
@Nadiya I wonder why the previous owner sold it. Apparently for my friend it canât be installed in her car since she has an old Audi and itâs not compatible. Sheâs not a close friend but she thought of asking me before she puts it on Facebook marketplace.
@Daria many people do, can flog everything and anything on FB marketplaceđ€Ł car seats and mattresses are things you should always buy brand new x
Nuna car seats are know for terrible chin to chest so personally I would avoid that brand
Not the best fit for a newborn, wouldnât recommend really as it can put baby in a dangerous position until theyâre a bit bigger!
I would check out 'car seat safety UK' on Facebook. They will give you good recommendations. If you are dead set on second hand then know your history and check the date on it as they al have expiry dates!
It looks like itâs an older model aswell as we had the bugaboo turtle air by Nuna and mine is no where near this shape and looked so much different so Iâd check when it was made and how many years nuna recommend theyâre used by. Also what does she mean it wonât go in her older Audi? We had a 2008 a3 and it went in fine? We had to belt it rather than isofix but it was still in securely
Friend had it and exchanged it fast, baby was so squashed in it.... I wouldn't get it
Geeez guys thank you so much for all of your responsesâ€ïžthis is super helpful , I wonât be getting it, Iâll do further research for other seats Xxx
@Danielle thanks so much. Iâm not sure whatâs the budget, we want to get a safe and comfortable seat but without going crazy đ”âđ«anything you could recommend? Thanks a million xxx
@Danielle youâre the greatest ! Will join them, thank you so much Xx
I looked at this - they all had awful reviews about babies being scrunched up and their chins on their chests. We have a Nuna Arra though which reclines in the car which was important to us as we drive between London and Manchester a lot. Itâs overwhelming with all the choice but youâll find the one that suits you eventually
Never buy a car seat second hand unless u know the person really well who used it previously

Personally I wouldnât buy it. Not because of the seat itself as I donât know anything about it but it sounds as tho itâs now at least a 3rd hand car seat and you donât know itâs full history
