Kyleena IUD opinions?
For birth control my OB has suggested either copper or the kyleena. Not sure which one to choose

I bleed straight for 6 months with the hormonal iud and also amplified my mental health. I am going to try the copper on this time. Everybody’s body is different tho
I had the copper iud for 5 years before I got pregnant with my first and am going to be getting a new one here soon just had my 2nd. I really like it. Honestly after it was put in couldn't even tell it was there.
i’m also getting the Mirena and i’ve also had it before in 2015 and never and issues. it makes my period so much lighter then there were. and now the Mirena now is 8years instead of 5 years my Obgyn told me that when i went with my sister to get hers removed and another one put in

I’ve used Mirena (a different hormonal IUD) for over 5 years before and just got a new one, and I’ve never had issues. They can result in lighter periods, where copper can make it heavier. Copper lasts twice as long, which is great if you don’t plan on another child for over 5 years. It really depends what you’re wanting to achieve.
