I had friends giving them chocolate/lovely biscuits so they can snack in between breaks etc 😍 I’m thinking of doing the same if I had a lovely one

Check if the hospital they work for has a gifts and inducements policy, or conflicts of interest. This is my hospitals one I found online https://www.westhertshospitals.nhs.uk/foi_publication_scheme/documents/trust_policies/F005_Conflicts_of_Interest_Policy_v5.pdf

I bet a lovely fruit hamper for the midwives would go down a treat. They probably get chocolates and cakes regularly so to have a beautiful fruit hamper would be appreciated.

We had a student deliver our little girl and got her a nursing fob watch engraved , chocolates flowers and cards and also a box of chocolates and flowers for the two midwives who assisted with the student. We then made up a massive hamper of teabags , coffee, biscuits and snacks for the other midwives on the ward ❤️

We have the midwives in the hospital a box of biscuits when we left after my labour and they accepted it - I think often they can accept gifts provided they’re of low monetary value.

Doctor here, something small is fine, nurses may have different rules but we can't accept anything above 20 pounds. Box of chocolates or something like that will be fine!

I got the student midwife who delivered my son a Costa gift card, flowers, face masks and pamper things. She was amazing and even came to check on us on the ward after she finished her shift 🫶🏼
