Hauck Travel N Care Pushchair

Hey all, I’m looking at getting a new pushchair in addition to our Egg travel system because it’s not fit for purpose anymore. I can’t be dealing with lugging the chassis and seat back and forth to the car! Definitely need something I can collapse in one fell swoop, especially when taking my little girl to my mums and for holidays. We only have a Ford fiesta🫣 Has anyone got any experience with the Hauck Travel N Care? It looks good! I just need to know if the hood actually extends far enough to block the sun?

I’ve been looking at ditching our travel system for the same reason, it’s such a hassle but it feels like such a big thing like my baby isn’t going to be in her travel system any more and have a big girl pram 🥹 I can’t comment on the hauck but have been recommended the Joie litetrax by a few people now and it’s very reasonable priced so thinking I’m going to go for that, the hood extends really far forward too

@Amanda I know what you mean 🥹 For such small people, they come with big things, toys, prams, highchair ect. I need to win the lottery and buy a mansion! Okay! Thank you I’ve no seen that one so I’ll have a look x

@Chloe it’s bigger than the hauck so depends what you’re after really. The hauck size is great if you intend to holiday abroad etc, the joie less so, it is bigger. Like yourself I need a mansion haha best start putting the lottery on before I complain though 🤣

Not personally but I posted a poll to ask for experience with a few different ones including this one, and everyone came on to comment to stay away from the Hauck!

Not too sure on this pram in particular, but our pram hood doesn’t completely shade from the sun and we just use a snoozeshade for when it’s super hot/sunny in the summer x

Silvercross clic is great it’s light weight and easy to fold x

@Allie oooer! Did anyone say why?

@Allie thank you!

I have a very similar pram to that one. It’s from smyths. Looks a lot more expensive than it is. I’ve been using it the past month when going to the shops etc it just lives in the car now. So far so good. Can collapse with 1 hand, super light & folds up small. I still use my proper pram when I’m at home. https://www.smythstoys.com/uk/en-gb/baby/pushchairs-and-strollers/strollers/zummi-eden-compact-stroller-fern/p/216879

I’m going to recommend the Didofy Aster. We’ve been using it since my little one was a couple of months old. The travel system was just too unwieldy to take anywhere and I commuted solo to other cities on public transport. I tested a load of prams at the baby fair while I was still pregnant. The didofy was the sturdiest, one of the lightest, and yet also the cheapest. I’d agree it needs a bit of help shading from the sun but we literally just bought a snooze shade and that’s been job done. We’ve taken it everywhere, including to Japan. I can put it up or take it down one handed while holding my son in the other hand. It pivots pretty much on the spot so it’s so easy in shops etc. Genuinely one of the very best purchases I made for our family.

@Hannah excellent review! Thank you I’ll check that one out too. Amazing you’ve been to Japan as well. I bet that was a trip of a lifetime!

@Chloe it was the honeymoon we should have gone on in 2020 🤣 but we couldn’t get married, then Japan still had the borders closed when we did, then I was pregnant! So delayed that there were three people on the trip! But yeah it was amazing. I think we wouldn’t have gone with a baby if it hadn’t been for our honeymoon (very much an ‘if we don’t go now it’ll never happen’ type thing) but I’m so glad we made it work.

Do not buy this!!! I bought it last week, took it to the Lake District this week and the front wheels catch on even a couple of cms of uneven path and my daughter nearly flew out of the pram on 3 different occasions. One time my husband had to catch the pram. I cut all my legs open needing to pull the weight back. Honestly do not buy this! I am taking back tomorrow, it is completely unsafe!!! Katie x

@Katie I went for the Joie Litetrax in the end I’m really happy with it! Sorry to read of your awful experience with the Hauck, sounds scary! x
