Small Baby

Hey everyone, i have been for a growth scan today and baby is measuring small, on the graph he is only just made it on the lowest line. i now have to go for scans every 4 weeks, im 29 weeks tomorrow. the consultant and sonographer mentioned about my height as i am only 4’11, not sure if this is the reason he is small. however i have left feeling that when i go for a scan at 33 weeks there is a chance i will be sent for an emergency c section as he is so small and im worried he wont grow much in the next 4 weeks. has anyone else experienced this? i now have a feeling he will either be born at 33 weeks or 37 weeks. any help would be great.

Did she say what percentile baby was? At our 23 week scan baby was 14th percentile. At our 27 week growth scan baby had gone up to 22nd percentile. And 31 week growth scan she was 26th percentile. As long as they are growing in a pattern I think they consider it OK. Our consultant said some babies are just small and some take a bit longer to have growth spurts. I think they tend to monitor you more when baby is under 10th percentile. And they tend to panic if baby stops growing or if baby is less than 3rd percentile or has a sudden drop.

I'm in the same boat! My little girl was measuring 10.5th centile then dropped to 5th🥲 so we have doppler scans every week and growth scans every 2 weeks, due next growth scan next Friday and have a feeling if she hasn't grown much it'll be an early eviction 🥺xx

My girl was on the 5th percentile at 32 weeks after dropping from the 10th percentile at 30 weeks and I ended up going to 38 weeks before I was induced. She was born on 5th percentile :)
