Hiccups after eating?

Why does my baby always hiccup so much after eating? He has been wanting to eat really often today and hiccuping a lot after eating. I know he is wanting to eat because he will cry and make eating movements with his mouth and try sucking on everything. He’s 5 days old. I use anti colic bottles and always burp after feeding

It’s just him taking in too much air or eating to fast. Totally okay! Try burping half way through and pace feeding! It helps my girl not hiccup as much 😊

Just what Courtney said. Also, did you feel hiccups while the baby was in the womb? My LG was constantly hiccuping in the womb so she was doing it a lot after birth too but burping and pacing her during feeds and making sure she doesn’t get too much air helps.

Check your bottle nipples. I found out that mine are size 2 and size 1 works better and she gets less air. My little girl gets hiccups nearly every time she feeds and using the 1 size nipples helps her not get them as often
