Best bottles for anti reflux formula

If anyone can help. My baby girl has just been put on anti reflux formula and the Tommie tippee bottles we were using don’t seem to let it through as the formula is so thick. She’s only 4 weeks old and I just want the best for her. Any ideas on better bottles to use

Have you tried changing the teat? A faster flow one might let more formula through as the holes are bigger

We use the Mam bottles with a 1 or 2 flow teat, our little boy is 4 weeks and had Carobel added to his formula for reflux so it makes it’s thicker and find these work well with pace feeding 😊

It’s the teat size for thick milk it needs to be upped my girls on allergy milk with carobel thickener I use mam bottles with a size 2 teat x

Try a bigger teat size so bubba doesn’t have to work so hard. I’ve heard the anti reflux formulas are super thick x

@Amy we have started using the number 2 teat which seems to be helping but still slow going

@Abigail do you find that your little boy doesn’t struggle drinking as we are using the number 2 teat for the bottles but don’t seem to be making much difference is mam bottles better as I saw someone saying they are a nightmare to sterilise. We have the microwave steriliser so didn’t want to have to buy a new steriliser on top of new bottles

I'm sure that with those types of formula you need to use the fast teat. My little man is 4 weeks, on regular milk and has size 2 mam. 0 and 2 were too slow for him.

Tommee tippee have a vary flow test which I used for my daughter when she was on reflux milk! It seemed to work well for her as a 2 it just wasn’t fast enough and she got frustrated or fell asleep it was too slow

@Emma he doesn’t really struggle no, we found with the 1 tear he was getting annoyed because he couldn’t get it out and was crying a lot, but he’s better with a 2. We do still need to burp throughout and hold it up right for about 20 minutes after. He’ll have a bit of spit up but no where near as bad. You can sterilise them in the microwave just adding 20ml of water to the base. 😊

I use Dr Brown anticolic bottles, they are great ☺️
