Bump size…

Hiya ladies, hope everyone’s doing ok 🥰 I know every bump is different, but I guess I’m just seeking reassurance I’m not alone… I was measuring 31cm at our 28 week appointment so marked wayyyy above the upper line on the growth chart. My midwife said they’re not concerned with this and didn’t refer me for a growth scan. I’d had a test for gestational diabetes at 27 weeks but all clear. However, I’m now 30 weeks and I’m getting comments left, right and centre about the size of my bump, how it looks like it’s dropped, and looks like baby’s due any time. I’m getting worried he’s going to arrive super early or that I’ll end up needing a c-section! Picture is from 29 weeks. Has anyone else been in/is anyone else in this situation?! xx

It's definetley not dropped 🙌 ypu look amazing and your bump is perfect ❤️ listen less to others and more to your own body ❤️ try not to stress about things you can't change like time when the baby will be born, just enjoy every day you have 🥰

My midwife told me every woman’s body is different and everyone always likes to comment on a woman’s bump…tell them to piss off (I cannot remember the polite term she used 🤣)

People really need to keep comments to themselves. I’m pretty short w people now.

Exactly the same as me!! I was measuring 32cm at 28 weeks. Went for GD test and had a couple of growth scans now. His tummy is on the 98% I’ve had 6 comments this week to tell me I’ve dropped. Midwife said his head is down so could just be that baby has moved. We’re all different shapes and sizes xx

Heyyy I was 31cm at 28 weeks (97th) 34cm at 31 weeks (97th) 35cm at 34 weeks (not sure what percentile this was but it looks around 70th looking at my graph) and was referred for a scan because it looked like baby had dropped a bit 35 week scan measured 5lbs 2oz and predicted birth weight of 7.7-8lbs. The midwife said if I continued on the 97th trajectory I would need a scan anyway. Try not worry too much! Xx

Thank you ladies, it’s definitely reassuring to know you’re not alone! 🥰

The fundal measurements are quite often not right when it comes to determining baby’s size. My second was supposed to be about 11lb by their measurements but was born 8lb 10oz with half a pound of that being water weight due to me having loads of IV fluids during labour. Try not to worry too much.
