Lonely mat leave

Does anyone find maternity leave a bit lonely? I love spending with baby and we go to groups, walks etc but when it’s just us at home I do get a bit lonely and hope baby isn’t bored just seeing me. I know I need to make the most of it as soon I’ll be back to work and baby in nursery.

I feel the same at times! I don't really do groups due to social anxiety so that doesn't help much either 🤦‍♀️ we just try and get out for a walk, or going to the shops at least once a day to break up being at home! Not looking forward to going back to work in July 😭🙈

To be quite honest, I spent a lot of time in lockdown when I had my first baby. Although my husband is at work this time round I actually enjoy the peace & quiet {during naptimes}. I feel relieved that I get to experience a proper maternity leave this time round & after living through lockdown this time round feels a lot less lonely & isolating. I suppose if I hadn't I'd probably feel lonely this time.

Yes definitely! It can feel so isolating especially if you’ve only talked to your baby all day!
