I got the even Flo one which is the same cost as the doona and I love it. It’s worth the money. My bff had the doona and she said she liked mine better bc the handle extended further
i also have the even flo, but really really wanted the doona! i wonder how easy the doona is to collapse because i’m not atrong enough to collapse the even flo on my own 😣
@Nina Oh, it is very easy to collapse and not very heavy to lift either.
really wish we could have gotten the doonan i think evenflo was about $200 cheaper
@Violet Andrew
@Nina I got it in 2022 for 354 Euro, that's about less than 500 USD. I am still using it for my 12.2kg 15 months baby.
We loved it! Carried us to 13 months. So easy to use. Totally worth it. And eventually when you need something bigger, sell it! Ours is still in great condition and we are selling for $300
Love it! I have two under two and it was a game changer. Would highly suggest getting especially if you plan on having two kids. You get more use of it if you get it with your first (;
It didn’t pass Canadian safety standards so it’s illegal in Canada. That makes me think that I wouldn’t even chance it. Also it’s not good for infants to spend extended amounts of time in a car seat. It’s bad for their spine development. I would choose a cheaper stroller with an infant insert or a bassinet option and save the infant car seat for when you’re driving & traveling if possible.
Also the even Flo is cheaper and that one DID pass Canadian safety standards so I think it’s overall a much better option if you’re wanting to go down that route
I’ve ready they’re not well tested and not very safe so not recommended in the UK
In my opinion it is convenient but to pay $550 for a stroller/car set that they’ll grow out of by 1yrs old is crazy I prefer the graco one it comes with the car seat the base and it transitions into a big kid stroller for 1 & up you can use it in like 4-5 different ways as well and it was only $280 at target so its definitely affordable and useful all I have to buy now is a toddler car set for the future but not another stroller and it’s easy to assemble and break down as well
The doona is good for short journeys. It’s a car seat with wheels. Babies shouldn’t be in car seats anymore than 2 hours without being taken out for breaks. New borns can’t be in a car seat longer than 30 mins without taking them out for a break. It causes chin to chest which can cause breathing issues! It’s a good investment if it’s for short journeys! I loved mines
I got Doona car seat when I had my now 15 months old baby. At the time I was living in Europe and wasn't driving. Taking my baby out in a taxi was easy because I just collapse the stroller into a car seat, and when we get to our destination, I change it to a stroller. It makes daily runs easy. Also, Donna stroller makes flying with a baby easy. Your baby can use the stroller until 15kg. So, I say go for it if it meets your needs.
