Yep could happen for sure! Hormonal birth control is great for some people but wrecks havoc on others. It all depends what your hormones are like going in. Push for a referral to an endocrinologist or at least to have your natural hormone levels properly checked so they can figure out what’s wrong in the first place and then find a real solution
I should also add that I’m 11 months postpartum and breastfeeding, so my hormones are also probably out of whack to begin with still
@Hayley I’m so sorry you went through this 💗 I already have diagnosed depression and have for a very long time, so thank you for sharing your experience with me. I don’t want to fall into the depression, and I don’t want my daughter to see me that way either. Thank you for your kind words
DEFINITELY could be a side effect of the birth control, as others have said, and a week is long enough to notice. Glad you're making an appointment, and may be worth asking to try something low dose or different
Could you potentially see a naturopath to help control hormones using food rather than birth control?
Yes it can be the birth control as it is hormones changes to your body. I'm not familiar with Slynd. I've always been in Alesse. It's suppose to be lower dosage of hormones. Everyone different.
