Bugaboo butterfly and Ryanair

Has anyone with the bugaboo butterfly flown with Ryanair? Did they let you put the buggy in the overhead compartment? I know they’re the worst airline for being strict over what can be brought onboard.

I just flew with them & I have a Joolz aer, which is overhead compatible. But they took everybody’s prams off them at the plane stairs - including yoyos. But it wasn’t a big deal cos they gave it back at the steps of the plane when we landed (both ways) anyway! So it saved hassle of trying to find space to put above & you still had it for the airport!

I have flown with Ryanair and easyJet recently and nope. Unless you paid extra they all get left at the door. They have to capitalise somehow. Never got them at the steps either though. Just from the miscellaneous area in the baggage hall. Bring a carrier, I’d say.

@Tania I’m more worried about it getting scratched or damaged 😅 hear so many horrors of buggies getting broken!

@Kya I was thinking to bring a carrier for walking about the plane etc but will defo bring one now!

Yeh I was the same! My pram has a bag that I used. I used a carrier also as didn’t know when I’d get the pram back.

@Ashley oh yes you defo need a bag to put the buggy in, get one off Amazon. It’s good cuz you can also stuff loadsa stuff in there too(blankets/beach towel etc) I had them under the buggy and threw them in the bag when I folded it up.

No. I had to put it in the deck below but then again they didn’t let me take a yo-yo on either which I was told

No. I had to put it in the deck below but then again they didn’t let me take a yo-yo on either which I was told would be ok. So I would work under the assumption they would not let any in the hold upstairs
