KEEPING WIPES WARM

Okay so I heard wipe warmers are a waste but how do I keep them warm? Any hacks. I was thinking keeping it next tot he bottle warmer but idk if that might be a fail. I’m also not about to heat up water for a diaper change bc that’s not realistic in the middle of the night. So any tips?

I just use them at the temperature that they are

@Emma yeah that’s what I did for the twins bc they were NICU babies and were used to the cold but I’m wondering if this new baby will find comfort in warm wipes. Might be thinking too hard 🤷🏽‍♀️

I just use them at room temp.

The problem with having a wipe warmer at home is that you won't have it when you aren't home. So you get your kid used to warm wipes and then they have to deal with not warm wipes when you change them somewhere else.

I have a wipe warmer. I only use it as night during our routine and any late night changes. My daughter is perfectly fine with this arrangement

I use them at the temp they are, most wipe warmers aren't portable and I change diapers everywhere and I'm not keeping one in every room and every where I plan to go, it just is easier to get baby used to the sensation and that way you have less of a meltdown when you don't have access to warm wipes

My wipe warmer has been drying out my wipes

I love my wipe warmer! And so do my boys. I don't have any issues with using cold wipes when we travel other than they gasp sometimes in shock

Wipe warmers can cause mold in some wipes that don’t have preservatives. You can always either rub the wipes between your hands before wiping. But I found that baby adjusts quickly to the temperature, even if they cry from the cold the first week or 2.

I use reusable cloth wipes so they're not cold. Add solution but it's still less cold than the wet ones

wipes becoming warm can become a breeding ground for bacteria they don’t recommend wipe warmers anymore bc of that. It’s also highly recommended to never leave wipes in your car for the same reason & bc it get so hot it can change the wipes.

room temperature! the hard part about using a wipe warmer is changing them in public or not at home they will be very uncomfortable!

Room temp is fine.

I really like my wipe warmer, plus I noticed that diaper changes with my newborn go smoother as well, especially in the night time! I don’t keep a completely filled wipe warmer bc of everything people have commented like the bacteria and mold but personally I go through them fast enough to where they’re not sitting too long. I use it to make her feel as comfortable as I can but I also don’t have any problems changing her with a room temp wipes. This just works for us.

I used them at room temp but I'd rub them below their belly button once or twice to get them used to the temperature!
