Tommy tippee bottles leaking

Has anyone else found that tommee tippee bottles are somehow leaking when cooling them in a jug if cold water? A few times now I have noticed milk in the water, and I'm concerned that the cold unboiled water is getting into the bottle somehow. Unsure whether to switch to a different bottle or if I'm just doing something wrong 😅

Are they the anti colic bottles, with the tubes in? X

@Beth no, they're just the normal small ones x

Oh ok. I had that issue with the ones with tubes in but it was because I wasn't pushing the circle thing down properly. I use the normal ones now though and no issues x

I've found this yes!! And during use too. It's basically if the thread isn't perfectly aligned when you screw it all together. We have been making sure it's also really tight and it seems to be better. They're just very fiddly I think and not fantastically made! X

@Charley it just seems the past few times I've used them they are somehow leaking, and I've been using them for around 2 weeks. I've also found that when taking the lid off after cooling loads of water comes out, again, I'm not sure if it's the cold water from the jug. I've had to throw milk away and re make bottles which isn't ideal. X

I have to say I don't rate them! I don't know if the Mam bottles are any better but I'm tempted to try another brand! I feel your frustration x

@Charley I have a couple of Mam bottles that I got as a sample and they are good they just have so many parts to put together which puts me off. I was bought the tommee tippee set so just decided to use them x

Very good to know! Thank you. Maybe contact TT via their website and see if they can advise! Apparently their customer service is good x

Are you leaving the lid off when cooling?

@Aimee no as it won't be sterile x

@Charley thank you I'll look into it x
