Nexplanon!

So I got nexplanon as a birthday present control and mind you before pregnancy I had a period that lasted 3 days, 5 days tops…. I got it after I gave birth and now I’m bleeding everyday, some have said that this has happened to them but it’s going on 3 months now and I get maybe 2-3 days at a time each month I’m not bleeding, anyone know if I can just get it removed or have experienced the same thing? Bcs at this point it’s like outrageous

I’ve had it before pregnancy and it was like this, took a good 6 months i think for it to sort of sort itself out, but would still be slightly irregular x

@Amy oh no I need this removed expeditiously 😭😭💔

honestly it was awful, some months i wouldn’t bleed at all but other months id bleed for the whole month

i had it in high school, my periods were bad for a year. not constant but like 2 weeks long and really heavy. after that i had no period for 2 years. i’d get it removed if i were you

I’ve had it 6 months now and still bleeding pretty much all the time 🫠 my periods were very irregular and heavy before I had my son tho so it’s not a huge deal for me

You can ask but they might want you to give it a bit longer to try and let it settle. They don't whip them out willy nillu on the NHS because they cost £350 a pop!

Had mine in just under 3 years and had a 2 year old period followed by nothing until it was removed. You can call and request them to be removed I just couldn't get an appointment due to covid! They may suggest trying the pill on top but it is your body your choice x

I can’t say I’ve experienced the same thing but I got it as I’m done having children. I’ve never had it before now. I do know you can get it removed any time though

I had it in high school and I bled for almost a year straight. I went to the doctor several times to get it removed and the doctor would just tell me to wait a little longer. I eventually told her that if she didn’t take it out, I was going to do it myself. She took it out right after that.

@Katie honestly I’m thinking of taking it out I got it done at planned parenthood don’t know if they will remove it but it’s worth a shot maybe asking them

@Kayla I don’t recommend doing it yourself, I was so glad it was done by a professional. They actually had quite a hard time getting it out, so I’m sure i would have ended up in the ER 😂. You should ask them and if they can’t do it then ask them who they recommend!!
