I get the urge but it's best to wait. It takes a while to fully recover. It's also recommended not to make any major decisions for the first year and a baby falls under that
It’s best to let your body and brain recover for a year.
I waited a year exactly and fell pregnant 13 months after baby 1. It is a harder pregnancy emotionally but I have no regrets and looking forward to my 2 under 2.
I'm also thinking about it. We aren't gonna actively try till I'm a year pp but right now we are just leaving it up to God and prayer. I think we all understand why we are supposed to wait, as far as recovery and risks but I think it's also ok to think about it. I never got back on birth control but I track BBT and we were avoiding ovulation/high fertility days. Now we are just doing it when we want to even if it's a high fertility day.
I’m ready for another too lol. I want my kids close in age and I’m also 34. I know many people that got pregnant 2 months after giving birth and everything went just fine.
Not ready for another yet. Trying to prioritize myself and enjoy our first baby too. I feel like it would be way more difficult if I was pregnant again. We will re-evaluate once our baby is at least 1. If we're still not wanting another we will wait longer and if it turns out we don't want another we won't. We may be one and done. I know age can be a factor for many women though so this is just me and my partners process.
I had my 1st in 2022, had a consult for another embryo transfer at 6 months postpartum. I had late onset PIH with my 1st, no preeclampsia. They gave me the greenlight to transfer if all prelim testing came back ok. It did and I transferred at 10m postpartum. I had great pregnancies both times. I am a SAHM now (I worked 70h a week when I was pregnant with my 1st). I strength trained, did yoga, and walked a lot both pregnancies until induction + chased my toddler. I did have PIH again with my 2nd that was sporadic through pregnancy, earlier onset. It required medication from 34w until 1 week postpartum. No other complications. Both were inductions; 37 and 38w, respectively. Both vaginal births. I have/had slight PPA with both. No medication. Emotionally & physically I was fine for both pregnancies. 2 under 2/2.5 can be rough but I'm glad I did it. Weigh your pros and cons and go from there.
You need to let your body rest in between the children to minimize risks in next pregnancy…
