I’ve had the IUD before and I thought the strings settled where they needed to be once there was no feeling of the strings anymore but months later when I got it checked found out I was pregnant and the doctor told me since they couldn’t find it during the utltrasound that it must have fallen out during my period and it must have just looked like a blood clot. Sorry TMI. But you shouldn’t feel embarrassed about asking your husband for help or just asking if he felt it after since he was already down there he may have felt it but just hasn’t said anything to you
First you shouldn't be embarrassed to ask your husband for help, that's why he's there lol. However I've had the IUD 3 different times as well and never thought to check it honestly. Once I've gotten it checked with the OBGYN I'm like I'm good ! Lol Don't Worry and just ask your husband it's normal okay
I wouldn’t worry too much about checking either - I’ve had 2 IUDs over 10 years! Your hubs will probably feel it during sex sometimes so occasionally ask him or tell him if he feels them to let you know afterwards! Also, I typically can’t feel the strings either (maybe I’ve got a long canal too lol) but if I sit against pillows on my bed, pull my legs up and then try to see if I can feel them I usually can, the position kind of condenses everything and you can feel your cervix easier! Extreme TMI, but it’s true!
I wouldn't worry about checking it. Had 3 IUDs over 15 years and never once "checked" for the strings. The strings do their own things. After a month or so they sorta coil upward and stay put until someone goes in to remove it. I never specifically had my husband check, but we knew they were settled where they needed to be once he could no longer feel it during sex.
