@Kalyn ahhh I didn’t think about that! That’s a really good idea :) Oh I’ve heard of that one! I was on cerelle or something like that and it made me horrifically depressed and I gained a tonne of weight and acne. It was awful :(
I use a period tracking app called Femometer and I'd say it's pretty accurate. Right now I'm on the provera pill to help regulate my cycle it works but I have just about every side effect you can have but I only get the side effects for the first 10 days of the month and then everything balances out again. Periods are definitely lighter and less painful. There's also something called natural cycle where you track your temperature everyday when you wake up and it will tell you if you're fertile or not.
Get your husband to get a vasectomy.
Cycle tracking is what we do. And also typically I’ll check for ovulation but I take a mo they pregnancy test to be certain
@Kalyn I’ll check that out! Thank you :) I think that is the best way for me actually. The least side effects!
@Rasa my husband has told me that he will never do that 😂
I would still recommend looking into iud’s, while they may not be for everyone. In your mom’s case, remember, the hospitals and doctors have improved on a lot of things over the years. The chances of some type of side effect or complication is about the same as any other contraceptive. I had the leletta for the past 5 years and I’m about to get it replaced with a new one. I like that it didn’t mess with my hormones at all. I didn’t have any complications and the procedure was like a pinch, then light period cramps for a few days. But again, everyone is different.
I’m in the same position i will be tracking I did this after my first and worked for us but my period hasn’t arrived yet 😫
@Hailey my mum had it removed only 3/4 years ago so she could conceive my little brother, she’s a young mum😂 But you are right, and every place is different too so the likelihood of it happening again is slim. I’ll have a look into it :)
You can try tracking your cycle if you're regular, if you're irregular try tracking ovulation you can buy tests at target or Walmart. I also had bad experience with nexplanon it through everything off for me.
