With my first baby we got thrush when he was about 1 weeks old. The only symptoms I had was pain within my breast when feeding, my nipples looked and felt normal. I also was given medication (I can’t remember what the tablets were called now) as well as the nystan for my son, so as Rhonda says you deffo need something as well.
Nyastatin has been working for us but I also continued to use it on a a-tip whenever his mouth seems sore and it helps a bit with teething. I completely replaced the nipples and bottles, boiled the bottle brushes, and started boiling the bottles nightly instead of using a sterilizer? It’s made a big difference- his tongue is totally clear now
Nystatin didn’t work for us it kept coming back. Fluconazole worked amazingly! If you breastfeed you still need treatment even if you don’t have any symptoms of thrush 😊
