On the same boat as you. I have no birth plan either, and I am 32 weeks +3. I only know that I don't want CS if it can be avoided.
Hey, it’s completely up to you if you want a birth plan or not and how detailed you want it to be. I think the plan has to come more from us rather than something the midwife or consultant will do for us or take us through. There are lots of templates online that you can use and reading you can do research. From what I’ve seen, the birth plan includes how you want the room to be, pain relief options, what you want to avoid or willing to try, once baby is out etc. I know people say birth plans don’t always go to plan but you can always add plan B or alternative and can help you feel more confident or prepared, whatever that looks like for you. I’ve been reading stuff from the positive birth company which is helping me think about my plan, decisions, what I need to feel calm etc. there’s no right or wrong, whatever works for you ✨
I agree that birth plans don’t go to plan always, but I still think it’s really important you go in knowing what you want and don’t want. Not sure if it’s different in each hospital but my midwife had a sheet to go through with me. How I felt on each subject and she was happy to talk me through each one. So I’m not going to detailed on my birth plan, but I know that a epidural is a no(unless of course emergency c section is needed). Like you I’m consultant care for low pap a and low birth weight previously and preeclampsia risk.
Most birth plans don’t actually ever go to plan anyway! Just good to have some idea of what you do and don’t ideally want.
