We have the joie I spin safe and I’m able to but the seat quite far back. I’m not sure how it compares with others but we’ve always got on really well with it and I wouldn’t say it’s too bulky
Avionaut sky 2 if baby is below the 70th centile really. Other than that I think the 36kg seats are pretty much the same x
Where in the UK are you? Your best bet would be to try different seats in your car with your local retailer. Jade is right that the most compact ERF seat is the Avionaut Sky, but I’ve read that when little one gets older it can take up more room front to back than some other seats as the headrest comes out on more of a recline than with some other seats. I have an appointment tomorrow to choose a seat for my little one that fits in our Vauxhall Corsa, I will try to remember to come back and let you know what we pick once we’ve tried a few!
Sky/Sky Q or Axkid Minikid 4/Movekid are much slimmer than the older versions. Depends on the car and little ones weight/height and age too.
I've just got an Axkid Movekid and it does just squeeze into my Kia Picanto. I've had to put the passenger seat very far forward but I can still sit in the front (5ft 4). My parents got a Maxi Cosi Mica Pro Eco (I think that was it!) and that fits into a Vauxhall Up. Both tiny cars. But as others have said probably best to go to a stockist and try different seats in your car, which is what we did
The most compact is the Avionaut Sky 2
