@Erin I was thinking the same thing, so busy with baby and feeding I’ll forget to take the pill but I am stuck with choosing the coil, implant or the injections you can get xx
I also tried the implant years ago too - it didn’t work out for me and I ended up taking a pill on top of it🤦🏼♀️ I can’t comment with regards to the injections as that’s about the only contraceptive I haven’t tried! All bodies are different though and we all react to things in different ways! I guess you’ll have to do some research on each and definitely speak to your GP about different options as one may be more/less suited to you😌
I used to be on the injection and for me it was the best one. Didn't have periods and didn't feel like it played with my hormones much. Implant and mini pill were terrible for me. I haven't chosen to go back on the injection this time though as it can take up to 18 months after for your periods to return properly so if you want another child in the next few years I would advise against the injection
I had a coil and ended up with my June beauty. So I’ve opted for the implant this time. I take so much medication already I didn’t want to add the pill to another pill was taking xxx
I’ve started the pill again but it’s not working well for me at the moment, the only thing I can safely say is the injection was horrific for me sadly! I’m debating getting the coil instead as it’s hormone free
We will use condoms again, my hormones are messed up after birth so I don't want to add synthetic hormones on top of that. It worked for us before having our little one, never had any problem. Honestly, I think it should be men's responsibility to use contraception after we've given birth 😅 if only they had as many options as us
@Elle mine are the same… mine are really bad since giving birth. I don’t really want to add any extra hormone’s but Everyone is expecting me to have something in place so I don’t fall pregnant again but me and my little girls dad aren’t on the best of terms at the moment and I don’t wanna get touched if I’m being honest 😅
I mean if you aren't having any sex then you aren't at risk of getting pregnant. Just be careful and use a condom when you do. Maybe that's easier?
I’ve chosen the copper coil! I was previously on the pill and had to try many as they often didn’t agree with me. I’m also EBF so I like the idea of it being hormone free. My hormones are already all over the place… I don’t want to add more to the mix😂 I think i’d also worry that I would be so busy with baby I could easily forget to take a daily pill or change a patch etc. Hope that helps 🫶🏼
