consider career or trade school
Try not to worry or think too much into the future right now because things can and will change and your child is only young just now. I had a quick look on your profile (hope you don’t mind) and saw you’re working as a HCSW. Is this with the nhs? If so, some trusts are investing in the open university student nurse training for established HCSWs so this might be something for you to consider when your baby is a bit older and means you can earn while you learn them at the end of it will be on a much higher salary than you are just now xx
@Kiera yes but next payment is in September
@Chelsea private care home unfortunately. I applied within the nhs but never hear back.
Without knowing your financial situation fully it's hard to say bit you could speak to stepchange or payplan for advice as there may be things out there which can provide you with support. If you have creditors like credit cards/loans that you won't be able to pay then please contact them to discuss sooner rather than later. Also, not sure if it's the same everywhere but the children's centres where I live do a thing where people can donate baby clothing and you don't have to donate yourself but you can take what has been donated for free which could help save some money. Check on things like facebook marketplace for new or nearly new bits you may get a bargain.
I understand this feeling completely. I’ve been signed off from work for the foreseeable due to multiple medical conditions, so I couldn’t work if I wanted to, (which I do, so so much) I’m on £707 monthly and that’s to cover food, rent & bills as it is. My partner is looking for work as much and applying for multiple jobs a day, he’s on the standard uc payment and he’s an angel with contributing to everything but it doesn’t stop us worrying🥺
Do you claim UC?x
