What did you enjoy before being a mom?
Being a mom is the most selfless thing you can do. Definitely comes with those feelings of isolation and losing yourself but I promise with time you’ll get it back. The first few years are so hard. Hope this app brings you a few new friends because we’re all there mama craving connection and to feel ourself again. Sending you love !❤️
@Eve my mom has traumatized me with a situation that hasn’t even happened. She said something would happen to my baby if I let someone watch her and now I can’t even enjoy myself if I do have someone watch her because I think something bad is gonna happen. And honestly I can’t even remember what I used to enjoy because life has been dark and a blur for the last 2 years
Same & I have another little one now & postpartum kicking my behind 😭 I feel like my social IQ declining , life just a repeat everyday of the same thing. I pray we can get through this
Lol, moms are supposed to be over protective and paranoid. It's an evolutionary necessity! Get referrals for a good sitter and some in-home cameras that allow you to check in on everything. So nows the fun part where you get to rediscover yourself all over again. How exciting! Find your old photos. What did you love in high school, reconnect with (positive)old friends, join groups for walking or healthy eating. We all need that, right. Find your community. Other people's stories motivate us, right. Especially when it's real people we interact with. I walk with a 90 year old woman who is there religiously. She motivates me to show up for myself.
Sorry, I'm rambling, but the point is that you are not the first to go through this and you won't be the last. You're here on Peanuts with us and we got you! Cause YOU GOT THIS! (said in my best cheerleader voice)
Is tracking down and hiring a sitter an option? I hope it is, cause you gotta put your "mask" on first. You'll be no good for her if you aren't 💯.
