New Formula

Hello mamas! My son was born 6 weeks premature. When I delivered him I tried to get my body to pump and produce breast milk however after a week and half of trying I wasn't able to produce enough for him. He spent 3 weeks in the NICU the doctor at that time recommended that we start him on formula. The chosen formula for him was Similac Neosure. At this 6 months wellness check his pediatrician at the time told me that he no longer needed to be on the neosure. My husband and I decided to keep him on it because we didn't want to mess up his digestive system with a new formula. However, I'm concerned now that he is gaining weight too fast. He's 10 months old but 8.5 months corrected. Obesity runs in both sides of his family along with a family history of diabetes and heart problems. I'm looking to start him on a new formula. I asked for recommendations from his doctor but wasn't given any. Any recommendations or advice would greatly appreciated.

I like Kendamil! My baby was born early also and put on Similac Neosure but it gave him tummy issues so we switched to Kendamil goat which has been great. Unfortunately that often is out of stock where I live so lately he’s been on Kendamil cow milk and does pretty good on that too

My baby was also 6 week prem, I also couldn't produce enough breast milk and started her on Kendamil. Worse mistake due to her constant constipation, trapped wind. I recently changed her to hip organic after hearing so many good reviews about it and she's coping with it so well she 15 weeks old atm and weighs over 5kg, each month she puts on 1kg. I wouldn't be worried if your LO is gaining I would see that as a good thing? As they become toddlers they grow and can loose that weight. The main thing is your baby is growing well and healthy xx

@Aysha he is very healthy lol like I said he's 10 months (8.5 corrected) and I feel like he's hitting 24-25 pounds at his 9 month wellness check I believe he was 22 pounds 12.4 ounces in the 91 percentile and I feel like this dude is getting heavier by the day lol
