Honestly, I don’t want the news. I have BBC headline notifications on my phone so I’m in touch with what’s going on but I don’t delve any further than that. We also live in a lovely suburb so get the best of both worlds - quiet countryside on our doorstep, or big city 10 mins on the train!
I feel u… humans can never fix this world… only the higher power
If i had the option i would do it honestly life is to short to be sad. Recently i have lost quite a lot ( thats another story may be a post) and i desperately want to find something for myself to lift my mood or change things. Remove yourself also from anyone that you feel is dragging you down I'm learning with pratically no friends now that you need to do what's best for you. As for for the news and the content of situations ( very sad ones at that) horrible as it is we have to do any thing we can to better ourselves and be happy. Go for it or take a trip to a place you want to live to get a feel for it .
The world really can be a very ugly place. The scariest thing is that the more we get exposed to it’s horrors the more we become desensitized. Otherwise we spiral into depression and other dark places. I think what’s important for us is to define our purpose in life. Know your individual purpose and focus on that and work towards it. Everything else that’s beyond your control, is well, beyond your control.
I had to stay off the internet because of how much came to light after having a baby. It’s brings you down so much mentally. I would try that.
It’s great to be aware and prepared but in some situations ignorance is bliss and you don’t need to know about every single bad thing happening because it’s all they broadcast now. Still very good things out there!
We live in what’s classified as “country” our house is an old farm house but it’s still only a 5 minute drive from 2 different cities. Honestly I wish I was at least another half hour away 😂
My husband always says, "Observe it. Don't absorb it." This has helped me so much. And I stay away from the news. We also live on an acreage 40 mins from the city, and the escape is so peaceful.
The world is no worse now than it’s ever been it’s just that news articles and doom and gloom are pushed to your phone and social media. There is an app called offscreen you can use to turn off certain apps on your computer for specific hours. Check it out!
