Chickenpox vaccine
Thoughts on getting the chicken pox vaccine privately for my 1 year old ? Have many people got it? It’s JCVI recommended!

If you're happy to pay then sure get it. It's a mild virus but for some it can be really horrible.
My little one had her first jab at the weekend. She was super upset but fine after. She was a bit tricky going to bed after but that may have been teething. She's been fine since. Similar to Adelle I remember having a really hard time with chicken pox - I had it over Christmas- and I didn't want that for my little one if I could help her avoid it.

My eldest son had it and my Aug 2023 baby will soon too. Apparently it make a huge difference when they ultimately catch the virus. It’s a mandatory vaccine in some countries so I’d say go for it.
