What I learned with my 21 month old daughter that I wish I knew when I was potty training my son was sitting them backwards on the toilet and use like bath crayons or dry erase markers on the toilet lid. It gives them a distraction so they’re not just sitting on the potty and reward them big rewards when they go and small rewards if they don’t but put in the effort to try
I used candies or Treats but only when he pooped in the toilet
Thank you will definitely try this
Have your child teach the doll that goes pee if you feed it water, to use the potty. It instantly clicked with my son. Look up “Toilet Training in less than a day” and read the brief outline on what to do. It worked for us!
I pushed my first a few times into potty training and it didnt work until he was ready. Give it time he’ll do it eventually! Onnly thing i know helps them actually WANT to is a friend/cousin/sibling sometimes. Maybe playdate at someones house who is potty training and ask the mom to really hype it up while you are there? Haha
What work with me got some potty training character books, toys and a potty watch. He could only use toys and books for the potty. I started out with 30 minutes. I had he sit on the potty.
Have him be commando. Watch him like a hawk. First few days he will have accidents. Put him on the toilet to finish. Then give him one m&m after he finishes.
