Birth control

What birth control are you on ? Are you preventing pregnancy ? I was on nexplanon , removed it had my son , after my son i got in the pill and it really messed me up. I have been off bc for maybe two months but the fear of getting pregnant has caused me to have no sex life with my partner. I’m debating if i should go back on it Any advice ?

I always resort to nexplanon I had my oldest then after I had her I got nexplanon and had that for about a year and a half then got it removed got pregnant the next month then after my youngest I asked for it again and my OB said he didn't have time to put nexplanon in so hence 5 months postpartum and I get pregnant with baby girl number 3. (Oldest daughter almost 4 years old youngest daughter is a year and a month) I'm currently 32 weeks pregnant and due November 10th. Nexplanon for me has been amazing I never would get my period and I didn't have to worry about missing the pill.

I have a mirena. I notice no hormonal effects at all, and I’m someone very k sensitive to hormones. I opted against the non hormonal because of the side effects

I'm contemplating the IUD coil (non hormonal) had that before and it messed my period up, smelt like copper too down there and then the period cramps. For someone that doesn't have period pains, I felt like I was going to faint from the pain and the period lasted longer than normal. I don't know if it was my pcos but I would go days without my period with it. I'm not entirely sure but I don't want to pump hormones in me. The alternative would be the patch but it has hormones, still deciding.

Why don’t you wanna go back on nexplanon? It worked well for you and you got pregnant well after you stopped taking it? I’m on the depo shot. I always choose the depo. It does work well for me and I’ve never had any side effects any other time I’ve been on it. I don’t think I am having any now but it’s only been a couple months since I had my son and got on. I like it because I only have to think about it once every three months and it’s worked really well for me. It does take me awhile to get pregnant after I stop taking it tho.

I have a copper iud and I love it. Had nexplanon before that and it made me bleed every day for 6-7 months

I’m on the pill(POP) and it honestly must be the only thing increasing my migraines. I can’t have combined because of the migraines and I can’t have the implant in my arm because it makes me bleed for several months in a row. I’ve now just been given some medication for my migraines bc doctors are convinced it shouldn’t be the pill. If you’re having issues with the pill you’re on I’d suggest seeing someone so they could suggest a different pill. Which could work for your body better. Or there are these patches you can get which is basically like taking the pill however it goes on your arm and it lasts like idk if it’s 3 months or more but you have to specifically ask for it if you can’t take other forms of contraception. My friend had it and she said it was good. Otherwise there’s the non hormonal coil or the hormonal one. And if you are fearful you could always use a condom as well. They should be able to find something that works for you
