You’re not necessarily fucked… depending on how long you’ve been taking birth control your body quite frankly is probably very out of balance hormonally & needs time to recover before being so fertile. For some women it takes years to heal from birth control, but you never know…
It says so many fertile days because technically the sperm can live in your body for 5 days so unprotected sex 5 days prior to ovulating could get you pregnant…you *might* be ok if you’ve been taking birth control regularly first more than a couple months as your body might’ve needed more time off it to start “working” again and so you may not have ovulated. If I were you I’d start taking it again asap and then take a pregnancy test in 2 weeks just to be sure.
I haven’t always been great with my pills. In fact I’m terrible with them. But they are the only form that works for me so I try. I forget pills some days or take them late or have to take 2-3 at once to make up for the missed ones (per my pill packet). I’m just so damn busy day to day it’s like the last thing on my mind… till it’s not. @Mariah you don’t think I should wait to test before restarting the pills? Can that harm anything if I am pregnant?
I’ve never forgotten this long before. I’m panicking
I have always heard that birth control is not harmful to a pregnancy, but you have to do what you are comfortable with…are you able to contact your doctor to discuss? But ya I’m almost 100% sure it can’t hurt a baby. I totally understand why you are stressing! Have you ever looked into an IUD? If you’re not pregnant and haven’t looked into it before you should ask your dr about it. That’s what I have and am super happy with it. Best part is nothing to remember! lol
@Mariah yes I had the Mirena and it made me go completely psycho and lose hair and I ripped it out myself 😳😳. I have to be on a low dose pill or it messes with me so so bad. I just want to clarify that this isn’t necessarily a bad thing, it’s the timing that makes it an “oh shit” moment. We are both old with almost grown kids 🤣. If I’m not pregnant I’m going to set 15 alarms or something or tape them to my bathroom mirror. I’m going to call my doctor and see what they say about continuing pills until I can test. Thank you so much
I think anything is a possibility but like someone said above, it usually takes the body time to adjust not being on them. After I stopped taking them, it took 4 months to get pregnant. But everyone is different. 🤷🏽♀️
I saw you mention mIrena and it did the same to me, too. I don't think you are necessarily screwed if you have been on the pill for awhile. My cousin was actively trying when she stopped taking it and it still took awhile. I get that things happen, though. I'm 38 and pregnant with my third now because we slipped up lol.
Yikes your experience with the IUD is scary , don’t blame you for not wanting to be on it! I’m surprised you were able to get it out on your own! I thought even the string was so far up I’d never reach it. Luckily so far I haven’t had any issues with mine, I feel pretty good. I’m glad you won’t be devastated if you are pregnant, and hope it all works out as you want it to!
Plan b and a prayer babe lol
Why not set a reminder on your phone so that you don't forget to take them? That's what I did when I was taking the pill x
@Emma I’m going to do that and keep them in my purse. This way even if I’m not home I’ll still have them. I was doing ok taking them by keeping them on my counter. Then with summer and constantly running around, and then school starting for the kids my head has been spinning. What’s weird to me is usually if I forget a pill I start bleeding. I have had absolutely no break through bleeding. I told significant other last night and he still pounced me two times (even though he’s against more children more so than I am 🙄.) So it doesn’t help that it’s not something that’s completely a must do or must have.
@Tiff LMFAO I appreciate it girl 🤣 too late for plan b by a couple weeks
@Mariah I was determined. I was in like psycho mode. Put a glove on and pulled. I don’t recommend it of course but I’m glad I did it. Within two days I felt so much better. And she cut my strings super short because my significant other was able to feel them at first. I won’t be devastated the timing just isn’t right. We have four kids in total (none together) and the youngest is 8. We are almost free and clear. It’s so silly to start all over. But if it’s gods will it’s gods will.

My son was 6 when I had my second baby. A lot of people said it was too bad I had to start over, but I had really missed having a baby and doing all the baby things! It’s tons of work but it’s also so lovely. Baby snuggles and contact naps are so nice! And they grow up fast! Good luck!
@Mariah stoppppppppp 🤣🤣🤣🤣 it’s giving me baby fever LOL. Our oldest is 18 and just started college… and that college bill is no joke! I guess I’ll keep everyone updated. It’s one of those situations where it will be a relief.. but it won’t. Thanks again!
Start the pills now. They are the same hormones produced during pregnancy so they won’t hurt if you’re pregnant. Wait 2 weeks from the last time you had sex and test.
All that keeps playing in my head is that tik tok song “On a scale of 1 to 10 my friend you’re fucked 🎶”
