Work questioning if fit to return due to low PAPP-A

Low Papp-a is only during pregnancy. Once baby is born I don’t think it matters. It has nothing to do with being fit for work. Not sure why your work are asking about specific medical details like this.
As notes above, PAPP-A was relevant to the pregnancy, but is completely immaterial afterwards... surely?! x

Low Papp-a doesn’t mean you would be unfit for work. You can just go about normal life and generally the Dr will prescribe you aspirin and give you more growth scans for baby. Your work doesn’t need to talk to anyone xx
Low PAPP-A doesn’t effect your ability to work
They don’t know what it is really so want to cover themselves from a liability perspective.

I don’t think it’s got anything to do with your ability to work, usually they just prescribe aspirin
I've on 150mg of asprin. I think it's because they googled it and saw the worse and don't want to be the reason should something go wrong. I will be travelling a hour each way on the train with my daughter who was only born end of December just gone. I've had direct contact with my manager and she thinks I should be fine to come back it's just because the director doesn't want me to come back if it's going to ve risky x
Could you ask your midwife to send an email or send information to them on it? All it will mean for now that you'll get further checks later on in pregnancy?
That's what I am planning on doing. I would rather the midwife emails my work than my work email her as at least I'll know what's said. I sent work a copy of my screening results and the information that came with it also. X
@Deb hopefully you'll have an uneventful rest of pregnancy and get sorted with work...although if they're going to pay you to be off... 🤔😂 x
Hope so, my daughter had placental lakes and her growth was threatened as restricted and was very up and down as had growth scans, she was 2 weeks late and a healthy 7lbs 13oz but is now on the 25th centile but they were never worried during the scans. Seems I can't have a straightforward pregnancy. X
This is really interesting to me, I have low PAAP-A too so I’m intrigued to know how it makes you “unfit” for work!
