@Charley that seems like ages! Online it says pregnancy can occur as early as one week after removal, and that most go back to normal within a few weeks. I didn’t think it would be months!
I had mine implant removed 19th September. It’s all been so confusing to me. If I’m honest i think my body’s currently playing tricks on me
@Maisy-Jane yes technically you could conceive as soon as it's out, but you need your body to go back to regulating its own hormones and ovulating again. You can use LH testing strips to see if you're having LH peaks which may help to figure out if you're ovulating. But honestly I wouldn't be expecting immediate conception. It took 6 weeks for my period to come after having mine removed, having not had a period the whole time it was in. After that I was ovulating regularly and periods every 28 days
I had my implant removed October 2nd last year, tried until December & ended up feeling really crappy so went on pill from January to April, came off pill April 13th, ovulated April 26/27th and got pregnant the same time, I’m currently 26 weeks 😅 Everyone is different tho and it could happen really quickly for you
I've been off my implant since may and so far my LH levels are still not back to normal but I am going back to the hint of a cycle 😂
Mine never went back regular and took me 5 years from taking the implant out to have a successful pregnancy x
I fell pregnant within a month /month and a half of having it out both times my body didn’t regulate first. As soon as it’s out just go for it I say! ☺️
@Megan haha will do!! X
I had my implant removed October 7th 2021, had a 3 day period 11-14th, ovulated on the 28th and got pregnant! So conceived 21 days after having it removed. I know it’s longer or shorter for some people but I took the supplements and used fertility lube as well which I’m sure helped xx
Amazing. Me and my partner will invest! C
I think they say allow a year with the implant? Or maybe that’s the coil??
@Shannon well I was told not to have unprotected sex the week before I get it out, so maybe it tends to go back to normal pretty quick. That’s the coil I think
@Maisy-Jane @Shannon the coil it's possible to conceive straight away as well. If you've heard to wait a year it's because that's the general rule when TTC, one year of unprotected sex with no pregnancy means the GP will refer you for testing.
@Charley got it. So you don’t think it’ll take that long? I am young too and this would be my first pregnancy so i dont know if they’re contributing factors but

@Maisy-Jane 90% of couples conceive within a year, then of the remaining 10% half of them conceive within the 2nd year.
There's no way of knowing as it's different for everyone I'm afraid. Usually with an implant or hormonal coil you level out fairly quickly, within 3 months.
