@Samantha it’s so terrible because my whole female family told me that one was the best but I got every single side effect, and when looking up the shot I found out all this information that my doctor did not tell me, thankfully I was only on it for 3 months, I was fine on it for 2 months but the last month I started feeling bad so I decided not to get another shot and since then I’ve only felt worse, I expected up to a couple months but now I’m hearing it can take months for it to completely leave my body it’s just so frustrating
I’m on implanon and I’ve been feeling the same way for the last month 😩
Depo made me so depressed and I actually ended up getting on antidepressants. They didn’t help either. Finally I decided to stop birth control and the antidepressants. It took me a little over a year to start feeling like myself again. I didn’t get my period until 8 months after I stopped.
Depo was good to me before pregnancy I’m on my second dose now after pregnancy. But nexplanon was the one that really messed me up so it definitely depends on your body! ALWAYS LISTEN TO YOUR BODY
Listen to your body! I took out my iud in 2020 because it was messing me up. I was having the worst cramps. Even during college birth control made me feel depressed. I haven’t been back on birth control and won’t. I’ll do holistic meds and pull out before I do.
I thought they recalled the deck shot there’s a huge thing going on about recieveing compensation for something bad happening
Depo is a nightmare, happy you’re coming off it. Sorry about your experience
There's currently a class action lawsuit being put together because the depo shot is causing brain tumors https://www.depoproverameningiomalawsuit.com/?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=21757894707&utm_content=170910349849&utm_term=depo%20provera%20brain%20tumor%20lawsuit&gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjwmt24BhDPARIsAJFYKk3qgXSV5wmhbMXLQYaWZ4Cy7lnrvENFNt5P-B-FfYhCLpvMfFCFXAYaAu29EALw_wcB
@Cassie scary…
I’m so sorry you experienced that! The depo shot was horrible for me in the end. I didn’t have terrible immediate side effects except for some weight gain but I’m completely convinced it caused my fertility issues. If I think about it too long I get so mad at all the doctors (at least 4 different ones from different practices- we moved a lot) who convinced me it was ok to stay on for as long as I did. I wouldn’t recommend it to my worst enemy. Not when there’s so many alternatives out there
