Absolutely not cheeky! You never know if they have another role that could possibly work or if they consider for this one. You have nothing to lose by sending an application.
Not cheeky. The worst they can say is no and you haven’t lost anything. If you don’t send your application you’ll never know.
I’d maybe give them a call first to ask. As someone who’s done hiring for multiple companies when I saw an application that wasn’t fit for the advertised role it’s a waste of time for both the person sifting through applications and you for sending it in. But a quick phone call/inquiry first shows that you’re seriously interested and is much more considerate imo.
As HR, i would put you on the back burner if qualified
I ask myself the same question and never send in. I can only do around 30 hrs and it’s so hard to find a job with the hours I can do.
