Toy recommendations for Christmas?

So I have family members that’s keep asking me what to get our little boy for Christmas, we’re planning on getting him a Toni box and a few other bits. I was just wondering what people are getting there little ones?

I've asked for things like a toy toolbox, playdough, vet play set, toy farm etc, slightly more grown up toys than some of the ones she has now. We're going for the yoto player as her present from us, that and Tonie are handy for the future if people are asking as can ask for cards/figurines!

Sounds good I asked for a farm play set too, yeah most of his toys from last Christmas/birthday he’s lost interest in so I think he’s ready for older toys but obviously from 2+. What is yoto player?

It's similar to the Tonie box but with cards not figures. It's not as exciting as the Tonie but the cards with stories are like half the price and whilst I do love the look of the Tonie and think my little one would love it, I think she'll use the yoto for longer because at some point the figures will lose their appeal. Yoto has lots of stuff geared towards kids as they get older 😊 I still think you'll get years of use out of a Tonie box though, I think they're both brilliant! I really hope mine loves her yoto !

A play kitchen! He loves playing with all our pots and pans and cooking utensils etc so think this will be a winner! Think we may be getting a washing machine too!! An Easel & Toniebox

@Emma I was unsure whether he would actually play with a kitchen, ave got him a pretend toaster, but he’s not that interested so I think when he’s a bit older he will like one x

@Nicola we picked ours up in ikea last weekend. Going around he made us stay at the play kitchen that was set up in one of the rooms for about 15 mins 🤣 but yes 2nd birthdays are also not too far away so maybe a trip to ikea in between to see if he is interested 😂

@Emma aw that’s not a bad idea then haha, he does love going in our cupboards but I think that’s just curiosity and yep it makes it harder when their birthdays are 2 months after Christmas lol x

You can always ask family to get tonie characters or yoto cards (depending what you go for)!

@Xanthe definitely x

I’ve asked friends for actives to help her development like colour matching, transferring using different tools and others that I can do with her. As well as asking for arts and crafts. Then we have asked my parents side of the family for accessories for her toy kitchen we are getting her and my parents for stuff to go with her toy baby’s

We’ve got him a kitchen with all accessories and food. Some other wooden toys, a farm & barn with a tractor and animals. Some toy figures, construction cars all wooden and then stocking. My mums getting him a tonies box so I’ve given ideas to family as tonies figures, books,pjs, colouring & paints, and some bakery bits. I made an Amazon wish list and gave both family’s access bits starting from £5 all the way up to £80 so everyone can choose what they get and how much they spend. (Obviously they don’t have to buy from that)

My son is loving his brio trains at the minute - he's starting to get the idea of putting pieces together and loves Choo chooing the trains along the tracks and bridges. So definitely going to add more to his collection
