What gift to buy?

I have been invited to a first birthday party but I don’t know the mum or baby very well at all. She is a friend of a friend and apparently they have lots of toys already. Any ideas what to get as a gift?

A book? Someone I don't know that well got ME a bottle of prosecco to celebrate a year of parenthood which I thought was a nice alternative as she didn't know what toys we need.

Clothes voucher for the little one? We got a couple and it’s good because my boy is 9-12 in tops and 6-9 in bottoms bless him which others wouldn’t know

I’ve previously bought a book voucher. Or a little outfit? X

You could get the mum a voucher for Costa coffee or something similar! Put it in a card for the child.

Bath toys? I feel like they’re the toys that don’t last very long I’ve thrown loads away. Or if you don’t think that’s enough add a gift card to like next or somewhere so she can buy baby an outfit?

I would get some of those “that’s not my—-(train,duck etc)” books. They’re touchy feely and have sturdy pages for toddler hands. The works usually has offers on for books.
