You can get pregnant before you have a period. You have to ovulate in order to have a period, so you will have ovulated roughly 14 days before your period. The only way to know if you have or about to ovulate is by testing for ovulation which can get costly if you're doing it every day.

I got pregnant and didn’t have a period…
Just over a year, but here we are almost another year later and still not pregnant. Not sure I want to be now so maybe it was a good thing, but definitely not easy for me to get pregnant after coming off it. My periods are still extremely irregular and I don't have one every month. Next month will make 2 years since I stopped it
