TTC after IVF

I had my daughter after doing IVF. Since then, my periods have been much regular. We are wanting another baby and have an appointment scheduled with our fertility specialist this week. I’m wondering if we should go back to Letrozole or injectables with timed intercourse or just do another transfer. Has anyone ever been in this same situation? Thoughts??

We had 5 frozen embryos. We just did another transfer. I didn’t see any point in spending several months of trying when we had babies waiting for us.

@Usinger we have 5 more as well. I think my husband has the exact thoughts as you! We are hoping to transfer in February so I wouldn’t have to go back to work until the beginning of the year. So I was thinking it might be worth trying “naturally” to avoid the progesterone 😅

@Meghan I mean in the mean time we didn’t try to avoid it 🤣 It doesn’t hurt to try the next couple of months. Good luck to you!!

We had leterzole to fall pregnant and since my periods seemed much more regularly. Like you we had scheduled to go back for us it was going to be the new year to start treatment again as my LO would nearly be 2. I missed 2 periods this summer, I didn’t think much about it as that can be very normal- turns out i was 8 weeks pregnant 🤰 still shocked it happened but it’s a surprise we never thought would happen! 🥰 I’d suggest don’t put a title or tell yourself your trying and see what happens between now and when your due to start treatment. But also I’ve been so nervous this time as we had less monitoring in the early day that may be something to think about too.

@Becky I had my appointment today and I didn’t even bring it up honestly. Obviously we aren’t preventing anything so if it happens, it happens! If not, we will be calling to start birth control and estrogen January/february!

I have everything crossed that either way you get your next little one. 🥰 I go and find out tomorrow if I’m having a boy or a girl. This pregnancy is so different from my first !
