Daycare

Hello, My little one is about 18months old. She just started going to daycare. in daycare she's crying all day and refusing to eat or drink anything. She's not engaging with other kids as well and mostly wants to cling to her class in charge all day. This is her second week into transition and with the long weekends. Anyone else in the same boat. It breaks my heart to drop off my crying child and pick her up the same way. Any tips and tricks that worked for you?. Also I observed changes in her mood after joining the daycare for example cry for simple reason.. asking to hold her all the time when she is back and also showing her anger if something she doesn't like. Trying to talk in her sleep 😪 She wasn't like this before! I understand each child is different, it takes time to adjust into daycare. But I am worried about changes in her behaviour!!?

Totally understand your concerns Mama, I have been there. My daughter was miserable for about 2.5 months at daycare. Crying all the time and always had a Pacifier and holding a teddy. The mom guilt was terrible and I often had thought about rearranging life and pulling her out. Then we switched to another daycare we were on the waitlist for which was much closer. Idk if it was the shorter drive or her now being experienced, but she did SO WELL, like a complete 180. She's so happy there! My point is, sometimes we hear stories about kids doing great straight away at daycare but all kids are different. Definitively give it some more time and then follow your intuition. It's going to be ok 💛

For some reason I have fear of losing my kid. And my mind keeps on thinking that what they will give it to her to other parents may be by mistakely 😂
