Pregnancy new job

Has anyone started a new job in PA while very newly pregnant? (Found out pregnant the same week I accepted the offer). I am completely panicking about not being eligible for FMLA or STD. Are there still ways to take some time off to have the baby in the state of PA?

I did the same thing, I’ll be at the job 6 months Atleast when I have to leave but my company only allows maternity leave for people who have been there 1 year so I won’t be surprised if I get nothing.

I did this and before I accepted the position I told them that I just found out I was pregnant and made sure I would be able to leave without loosing ny job!

@Mel What state were you in? In Pa you have to be employed for 12 months to be eligible for FMLA or STD, which I won’t be. What kind of time did you take to have the baby?

i started my current job when i was 5 months pregnant 😂 i would just talk to them about it and see what they say. my boss and the store managers were very accepting of me and even though i technically wasn’t allie for FMLA i still got it
